First year students increased by 19.02 percent, 149-184.
Second year students recorded the highest decrease by 7.48 percent, 147-136, while third year students and fourth year students also increased by 4.44 percent, 135-129, and 1.45 percent, 138-136, respectively.
First year students increased because Dr Divinelinda EstraƱero-Dela Cruz, Makati Science High School principal, and her administrative staff decided to increase the number of freshman students from 150 to 200 this school year.
"Second and third year students decreased because of the voluntary transfer of 31 students to other schools, 18 juniors and 13 sophomores," said Miss Lourdes Fulgencio Gonzalez, Makati Science guidance counselor.
Male students increased by 3.32 percent, 233-241, and female students by 2.33 percent, 336-344.
Last school year’s enrolment increased by 2.11 percent, 557-569, while the other school year’s enrolment also increased by 5.03 percent, 529-557.
