THE MAKATI SCIENCE VISION
The Makati Science Vision, the official student publication of the Makati Science High School, was named Best School Paper of the Year during the National Schools Press Confterence (NSPC) in 2004, Fifth Best School Paper of the Year during the NSPC in 2008 and in 2005, and one of the five finalists in the 2007, in the 2006, and in the 2004 Catholic Mass Media Awards Best Student Organ High School Category.
2007
Since 1997, The Makati Science Vision has won more than 100 national and regional awards in campus journalism and has produced four Teodoro Valencia Outstanding Campus Journalists in the National Capital Region in the persons of Anna-Marie San Marcelino VIlla, University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman comparative literature graduate, Ivy Mae Cleopaz Vitanzos, UP Manila medicine student, Don Michael Acelar De Leon, Ateneo de Manila University communications student, and John Edward Dominique Dela Paz Dalida, UP Diliman psychology student.
2006
The lone participant from the Philippines, The Makati Science Vision has also produced 29 Pearl (Prepare and Educate Aspiring Reporters for Leadership) World Youth News Reporters in International Journalism, who received recommendations from Ben Frumin of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and certifications from Anindita Dutta Roy, International Education and Resource Network-United States of America (USA) Membership and Youth Media Programs, both of New York, New York, USA.
