“Filipinos are worth dying for”... inspirational words from one of the best and youngest leader Philippines that ever had. These words are said by our beloved hero more than two decades ago. This hero and best leader is Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. But in the present situation, are we, Filipinos, still worth dying for?
I cannot imagine dying for something that you know that will not die for you. I do not understand why we have to die for our countrymen if they, themselves, do not even care for others. I keep on wondering why this is so called nationalistic people are fighting against their country men. How one die for another Filipino if he wants to destroy another Filipino?
Yes, we belong to one country, one race, one nationality but our hearts belong to different views and opinions. How can we complete a puzzle if the pieces will not match? This is a very disturbing truth and we are all nothing but voiceless witnesses with nothing to do, nothing to say, and nothing to hope for.
