UNEDITED SAMPLE LITERARY ARTICLE
By Hazel Galiza Hernandez
IV - Enrico Fermi

We all know that the Philippines is a Middle-East Asian country that is rich and abundant in natural resources. However, have you ever wondered why our country is still suffering from crisis in spite of the resources it has?

Many factors affect the economical progress of the Philippines, factors that hinder the progression of our country. One of these factors is the overpopulation.

We cannot deny the fact that overpopulation is really one of the problems of our government today. Yes, we know that Philippines is a rich country when it comes to natural resources. But are these resources enough to provide the needs of the citizens of this country? In our case today, I can say that the resources we have are not adequate already to provide the major needs of our country, because of too much consumers that are using these. In addition, others are building homes in places wherein resources are plenty. They are cutting down trees to have a place for their living. They do not have choice but to destroy the resources because of lack in space for the country is overpopulated. This really affects the economical growth of the country because there are circumstances that instead of using the natural resources for the good of the society, it is just being used up and being destroyed by those who don’t have a place to live.

Overpopulation, as we see, really affects a lot are socio-economical progress. It is not just a place or a city that is affected, but the whole society. Family planning is indeed a big help to our country. In this simple thing, we are little by little helping our country to
recover from poverty.
