SILVER LINING

UNEDITED SAMPLE LITERARY ARTICLE
By Jezel Christine Nolasco Quevada
IV - Madame Marie Curie

Life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you will get until you open it. It is full of mysteries that only God knows. One may predict what could possibly happen but no one can really tell what the future holds and what it could bring. Most of the time, we think it is just as easy as it looks. We never realized that there are some things hidden behind it that cause our down fall.

The world we live in today is not as perfect as what most of us think. Everything is accompanied by impediments that we need to face whether we like it or not. These obstacles neither give us contentment nor make the situation better. They enervate us to the point that we cannot stand up anymore. Because of these, we, people, tend to do something without thinking about the implications it might cause. We forget about the essence of weighing first our decisions and choices. This becomes the root cause why our world is enveloped with evil.

Fear not! Making the world a better place is not impossible. If everything in life is accompanied by impediments, surely, there is always a solution behind all of those. There is always a way to overcome evil so as a way to surpass these obstacles in life. Obstacles, though they weaken us, have something good within them. They actually strengthen our entirety which we can use to achieve success.

Though hindrances often serve as setbacks to life, we should look at them as something which we may gain lessons from. From this, we should realize that “every cloud has a silver lining (Stuart Little)”, that every rain has a rainbow. We may feel so down but after all those pains and sorrows, there is, indeed, something good waiting for us. These obstacles in life serve as a pathway for us that at the end of each road, we may find a pot of gold waiting for us but we may only get the pot if we will boldly face these obstacles. We should learn to look at any situation no matter how bleak or how hopeless it is and still be able to see the bright side.

Life is really an adventure. It is full of twists and turns. You will never know what will happen. All you know is that you will be facing a certain condition and realize at the end how enjoying it was. Remember that even the most ordinary life is filled with extraordinary times. God has mapped out our lives with these obstacles to make us strong and to challenge us to rise every time we fall. We should not be weary about it. Hence, we should make it as an inspiration and every time we encounter any obstacle, we just have to look for the silver lining.
